Denmark 32:41 France

It is all over! France demolished Denmark for their third European championship title. Nobody in Juske Bank Boxen could believe what had happened in the first 20 minutes of the final match. France with perfect attacking play, and very concentrated, agile, fast defense neutralized Denmark’s back line. Mikkel Hansen was the only unsolved problem for France defense. He was perfect in the first half scoring 6/6.

In the French team only Karabatic missed once but Porte, Narcisse, Giugou and Abalo were impeccable. In the last seconds of the first half Porte scored for seven goals deficit, his goal was just a reminder of the game France played in the first half.

The second half was weakling call for the hosts. They had to risk everything and go for all or nothing. But the experience that the Olympic Champions had, and the desire to conquer Europe for the third time were enough for another good half for the French team. Denmark was as close as six goals difference to French lead (Mollgaard 43′) but when Denmark would hoped for something more, at least a decent defeat, “Les Experts” would made 2/3 goals in a row, teaching the host a valuable lesson in front of 14000 Danish fans.
