Group C
HC Dinamo Minsk 29 : 35 PSG Handball

Parisians can leave Minsk with the feeling of accomplishment. Today PSG “super team” delivered 35-29 victory against Dinamo and got a ticket for the next round. A well-built success that allows Paris Saint- Germain Handball seriously to hope for the 2nd place in the group.

In Minsk, December 1st, PSG came to show why are they called a super team. They played strong from the beginning, Daniel Narcisse with an attempt from the hip and awesome jump, has given his team an advantage which was building up throughout the game. The defense was at high level which gave the Spanish goalkeeper, Jose Manuel Sierra, a opportunity to chain few saves in a row (4 saves in 15 minutes). After 20 minutes the gap increased to 4 and stabilized at 5 at the halftime break, 14-19 .

In the second period, Dinamo clinged and even had some useful new things in their tactics, and Bombac was in his element. It was a period with lot of mistakes at both sides, and some good saves. Dinamo tried to close the gap but as soon as they were trailing by four, Paris increased the level of play.
Parisian boat has sailed on a rather calm sea tonight. But beyond that, this fourth victory for Paris , 29-35 , allows PSG to complete this year in Europe on a good note. The second place in the group is more than ever at reach for the French team, but Minsk decreased their chances for the Final 16 spot, they would have a rocky road because they are in the worst position out of the four teams that want to get the last three places in the Group C.

Phillipe Gardent :

– First of all I want to congratulate the team “Dinamo” , because when we went to Minsk , we knew it would be difficult, that rivals showed a good game in defense against ” Metalurg “, ” Barcelona “, so that for us today was, firstly was very difficult, and secondly, it’s nice to win. For us it was important to win here to keep second place in the group. In the next round we take competitors from Skopje, and to succeed today was necessary.

Boinovich? As I put it to play , his actions were not very surprising for me . I am well aware of the quality of the individual player, and he knew well that he will lead the attack. And he understood that it would be a good challenge for the “Dynamo”.

Boris Denich :

– I want to congratulate “PSG” victory. Of course, today I was expecting more from my players , but on individual level, our handball opponent proved to have too high.

Mladen Boinovich :

– For us it was very important to win , because it was the last match of the Champions League in 2013. If we lost today , in the future could only claim 3 or 4 in the group, as well as keep the chances of the second. Failure would cause damage to the image of the club. We prepared hard and are very happy , with what we played today. But, of course , and it should be noted – good defense, and good in attack. So I am very satisfied with the result.

Vadim Bogdanov :

– First of all I want to say that we were unhappy with the first half and the goalie line as a whole. The guys fought well in defense, and absolutely nothing help. Now we need to take points in all remaining matches – winning three meetings of three to leave the group. Will make it very hard.
